I know, sometimes it's very easy to sit in your hotel room or on a flight, stare into space and get down about where your life is taking you or the lack of free time and opportunities that present themselves to you.
People often see where they'd like to be in life and then reflect on the huge mountain that seems to be standing in their way, seemingly insurmountable and treacherous.
Whether it be endless business trips, long working hours, chasing that next promotion that never seems to come or just having time to rest, we are all guilty of inwardly reflecting sometimes and feeling sorry for ourselves.
I've done it many times, and I'm sure you have to.
It's very easy to make excuses for why we haven't done things, but more often than not it's simply down to FEAR...
A FEAR of stepping outside our comfort zones, taking life by the scruff of the neck and directing it to where we want to go.
Whether it be fat loss, a lack of money, poor eating habits or a job that gets you down, the TRUTH is, we all make our own path, and deviating from that path can be hard to do.
Sometimes you have to just take a risk, take a lateral leap off the path you are following and head out to explore new opportunities.
One of my Personal Training clients did just that.
Last week she stepped out of her comfort zone and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, some 19,000 feet.
She was nervous, but she took on the challenge and she completed it.
We can all do the same.
Take some time to think about what it is YOU would like to do and how you are going to achieve it.
