When I read this quote from British Retail Guru Sir Philip Green, i
t made me think...
It's the kind of statement that should make everyone think:
THINK about your job and what it means to you...
THINK about how you live your life and what's important to you...
THINK about why you're sat in that hotel room, away from home again, feeling tired, rundown, overworked and, if you're really unlucky, underpaid! :-)
You see, life is too short to be sat contained within 4 walls that are not your own, unless you have a passion for what you do, a belief in what you sell / advertise or teach, and a desire to be where you are right now, either promoting your boss's business or your own.
Unfortunately, most people are less than happy with their working lives.
BUT, when it comes to looking and feeling better, the effort needed to succeed doesn't have to take over your life, like a job that involves long hours, constant travelling and overnight stays away from family and friends.
In the space of 10-15 minutes you can do what you need to do, within your hotel room, to burn fat and get into shape, even if the thought of a gym visit brings you out in hives!
It is SO true that you have to LOVE what you do to really make things happen.
When it comes to exercise and health, you have to find something that you enjoy, something that lets you see the fruits of your labour while allowing you to live a life that isn't always restricted to dieting, gruelling exercise regimes and being miserable in the name of shedding a few pounds.
Find your passion, while away on business:
Sightseeing, golf, swimming, yoga, hotel room exercise, power walking, meditation...
Whatever you enjoy, find the time to indulge, provided that it promotes good health.
Once you find something that improves your mind, fitness and daily outlook, you will see great things happen...
Fat loss and a trimmer figure, more energy, less cravings, better sleep, less stress, more enthusiasm and better work performance.
By doing something you enjoy, even if you're not 100% happy with your vocation in life, you can still work on improving your health...
