Avoid Swine Flu on Business

Although all the furore about Swine Flu seems to have died down for the time being, you can never be too careful, even if it simply means avoiding colds, infections or tummy bugs, while away on business.
Here are my top tips for avoiding Swine Flu and the like, next time you travel abroad:
1. ALWAYS wash your hands.
No matter where you are, always wash your hands regularly. Travelling on business, you come into contact with germs minute by minute - shaking hands, moving luggage, opening doors... Ok, let's not get too fussy, but the fact is, germs lurk everywhere.
2. Take a multivitamin and some ecchinacea
Give your immune system a helping hand! Daily supplements while away on business will help fill any holes in your diet and keep your body running more efficiently, but only the simple supplements like the 2 mentioned and fish oil. Don't carry a medicine cabinet full of pills and potions in your luggage!
3. Exercise!
Whether you exercise in your room, use the hotel gym, or step outdoors for a brisk walk, get some daily exercise and keep your immune system boosted.
4. Eat Sensibly
Fish like salmon, mackeral, and tuna are filled with omega-3 fats, which support white blood cells in fighting infection. Foods high in beta-carotene, like carrots, spinach and sweet potatoes are all packed with the stuff, so get eating!
Be sensible, avoid getting rundown and take a few precautions to avoid illness on your travels.
